really great! Looks like an old pipe my grandfather had a long time ago. They were carved with faces, I'm not sure, but I think they were robin hood and his merry band.

Ethan: once it was completed it looked 'Norman' hence the reference to the Norman King Richard.Bob: I didnt cut it; my father in law had it in his garage for a year or so. I think its a branch junction which was low to the ground.
I also thought of the beautifully carved pipes with faces..... an old memory from my childhood. Wonderful walking stick, Dave.

This piece is a walking stick.
On the reverse is a snake and protection rune located just on the curve into the main shaft and where the thumb can caress the head of the snake.
