This woodwose is carved from a piece with attached root ball. the piece was collected from Haresfield Beacon in Gloucestershire.
He is different in regards to the beard and hair not being as detailed as others. the shape of the wood lent itself to this look.
Finished with oils and carved with just the right balance to stand unaided.
